Who is in charge of these events?

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful coordinates with partners and sponsors to bring you this event.

Why are we holding these events?

To reduce illegal dumping that is plaguing our neighborhoods.

Is there a limit on how much I can bring?

There is not a hard limit but this is a free service that is meant to benefit all residents of Cincinnati. If you are a business, we ask that you use the Rumpke landfill or one of the transfer stations located around Hamilton County and over the river in Covington. We retain the right to refuse anyone service for any reason.

Do we accept hazardous waste?

No, check our waste disposal guide for where to properly dispose of it.

Do you accept paint?

We can accept dry paint but wet paint is not allowed. If you have wet paint you can either let it dry out or check our waste disposal guide for where to properly dispose of it.

Do you accept on-rim tires?

Yes!

Why are you accepting only 10 tires per person per event?

In the state of Ohio you need a special transport license to transport more than 10 tires

at once. We have limited funding for tire disposal and want everyone in the community to be able to utilize this service.

Will the city of Cincinnati pick up tires from my residence?

Yes, the city will collect up to 4 tires for free. This can be scheduled by calling 311 or using the 311 app. https://cagis.hamilton-co.org/311/

Does the city do bulk item (couches, mattresses, etc.) pickups at my residence?

Yes, the city will collect up to 5 bulk items. This can be scheduled by calling 311 or using the 311 app. https://cagis.hamilton-co.org/311/

Do you accept batteries?

Yes, we accept all types of batteries.

Do you accept dirt?

No.

How can we support the program?

You can donate to Keep Cincinnati Beautiful here. If you or your business would like to sponsor the program, reach out to us at info@keepcincinnatibeautiful.org.

Why are we holding events on Friday?

To be able to collect the amount of waste that is collected we rely on the City of Cincinnati’s Department of Public Service’s garbage trucks. These garbage trucks are only available for this kind of event on Friday due to their collection schedule.

What time do the events end?

The event ends at 1:00 pm and the gate will be closed at 1:00 pm as well. The garbage

trucks need time to unload at the landfill before their shift ends. Please be respectful of

everyone’s time.

How are these events funded?

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and relies on donations from everyday

citizens and local corporations to run these events. We are also a leveraged partner of

the City of Cincinnati, and partner closely with the city’s Department of Public Services to provide garbage disposal.

Why are you separating items?

We are working to reduce the amount of waste going to the landfill and increase the

amount of recycling or composting of items. Anything that is not going into a garbage truck is getting recycled or composted and being kept from the landfill.
