LOVE THY NATI CELEBRATION
Join us on Feb. 22 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Woodward Theater for a free volunteer appreciation brunch and award ceremony.
Together we will celebrate our 2019 achievements along with those who worked so hard to make it a success and share information on our upcoming 2020 season. Free 2020 Cleanup resources will be available. We will also have a hot breakfast, fresh fruit, and pastry with coffee/tea. $500 Rep the Crown Awards will be awarded to three community groups and we will also have lots of door prizes and raffle baskets.
REP THE CROWN AWARD ELIGIBILITY
The competition is concerned, specifically, with innovative projects and community events that reduce litter, further recycling, and beautification efforts, or address quality of life and sustainability issues related to overall community improvement. Entries will be judged by external partners of Keep Cincinnati Beautiful. Winning entries will receive a $500 cash reward. All entered projects and events must have occurred (at least in part) between March-November 2019. Community groups and individuals are welcome to enter multiple projects. All award entries must be submitted by February 1st, 2020.
Projects initiated/led by youth, ages 7-18 such as implementing a new recycling program at school, eco-art projects, Eagle Scout projects
Great American Cleanup projects that address the issue of environmental sustainability in a community.
Projects that fit into KCB’s Urban Revitalization Program Areas (arts, graffiti abatement, vacant lot stabilization, illegal dumping abatement) and address blight and quality of life issues in targeted areas.
