WHAT: Join hundreds of volunteers as we pick up litter and beautify Cincinnati’s dirtiest roadways!
WHY: Cincinnati is the gateway to Ohio. With millions of people traveling along I-75 and I-71 every week, we need to make a good impression! Clean and beautified highways welcome visitors and encourage residents and businesses to live, work, and play in Cincinnati.
WHEN: Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 9:00 AM – 1 PM.
Registration will begin at 9:00 AM. Kickoff at 9:30 AM. Cleanup 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
(Lunch will be provided after the cleanup for all pre-registered volunteers.)
WHERE: Meet us at the Ohio Department of Transportation (1400 Seymour Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45237).
VOLUNTEER TASKS: Groups of volunteers will be assigned to an area along the highway, including entrance and exit ramps, and will work alongside an ODOT crew member to pick up litter and clean greenspace. After registration, volunteers will carpool (or walk) to their assigned cleanup site. Volunteers will receive safety vests and supplies on site.
SPECIAL THANKS TO ODOT AND OUR GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP PARTNERS AND SPONSORS: The City of Cincinnati’s Department of Public Services, United Dairy Farmers, Dynegy Energy Services, Pepsi, Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, Kroger, and Netherland Rubber Company.
