Trash and/or Recycling Route Changes

On March 5, 2012 citizens may notice a change in their trash pick up day and/or a change in recycling collection week. For example, your trash day might change from Tuesday to Thursday and/or your recycling week may change from "Green" to "Gold". The City and Rumpke are working collaboratively to communicate the changes to citizens. Details on actual pick up day or recycling collection week changes are forthcoming and will soon be available on the City’s website.

Riverfront Fusion CANCELLED

Due to safety concerns resulting from the potential for additional strong storms this evening, the Riverfront Fusion Concert at Cincinnati Riverfront Park is cancelled.

Missed the Cleanup on the 16th?

No Problem! It is not too late to be a part of the Great American Cleanup. Schools who are interested in doing a campus cleanup before the end of the school year can contact us with the number of participants and we will drop off bags and gloves. Recycle E-WASTE This Weekend

Reds players Jay Bruce, Drew Stubbs, Ryan Hanigan, and Mike Leake and Players for the Planet have joined forces with Global Environmental Services and many of Cincinnati’s leading corporations for the second annual E-Waste Recycling Drive to provide an easy and convenient way for Reds fans and residents of Greater Cincinnati to recycle old electronics.

PNC/Players for the Planet E-Waste Recycling Drive collection locations: Friday, April 29, 2011 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. PNC Bank Deerfield - 5283 Bowen Drive, Mason, OH 45040 **Drew Stubbs and Mike Leake are scheduled to appear from 11:30 am to 1 pm. No autographs, please. Saturday, April 30, 2011 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. PNC Bank Hyde Park 3740 Paxton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45209 **Jay Bruce and Ryan Hanigan are scheduled to appear from 11:30 am to 1 pm. No autographs, please. Items accepted include televisions, radios, VCRs, computer monitors, personal computers, hard drives and many other electronics. The first 200 cars at each event will receive two tickets to an upcoming Reds game! A full list of acceptable items are available at www.playersfortheplanet.org. Players for the Planet is suggesting a donation of $10 per car. Global Environmental Services will recycle the electronic waste and turn the waste into a cash donation to Players for the Planet which will be donated back to the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund for environmental education programs for youths and adults in the Greater Cincinnati area.

SuperCan Program Ends

The SuperCan Program has ended and will resume in mid-March. SuperCans (or large dumpsters) are provided for over 50 cleanups each year. Please contact Bridget at 352-4383 for more information.

Make A Difference Day

Make a Difference Day is one of the nation's largest days of citizen volunteerism. On October 23, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful will facilitate city-wide beautification projects. Dates and times may vary so go to the MADD page to see a list of participating communities and sign up to volunteer!

Eco-Art Walk

Future Blooms unveils an Eco-Art Walk on Oct 2 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Corryville. Short Vine from E Corry to Charlton will be blocked off for participants to interact with the recycled art displays, enjoy live music, and shop an outdoor yard sale. Join Councilwoman Laure Quinlivan as we unveil the revitalized vacant storefronts transformed by local artists. Event sponsored by Uptown Consortium, Live Well Collaborative, and Niehoff Studio. Corryville "Into the Streets"

Join Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, the University of Cincinnati, and the Corryville community for "Into the Streets" on October 2 from 9:00 AM to Noon. Volunteers will be cleaning up the business district, beautifying vacant lots, and landscaping the rec center. The focused effort in Corryville is possible thanks to the Neighborhood Enhancement Program. Lunch provided by Currito Burrito!
