Littering is Wrong Too

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful is excited to once again launch the interactive litter prevention campaign, Littering Is Wrong Too. Designed by Keep America Beautiful, it aims to capture the attention of 18 - 34 year olds by associating jerky or inappropriate behavior with littering.

There are no two ways about it.  Littering is wrong. While taking a light-hearted approach to get attention, be remembered and talked about, this campaign inextricably links littering with wrongdoing, the personality of the litterer, and the choice they make to litter. It is a natural draw for our target audience and wherever the campaign is shown, it forces inevitable conversations and gets people talking about littering - something that is not happening today.

Last summer, we had the opportunity to pilot this campaign for Keep America Beautiful, and in just three short months, the pilot campaign earned positive results and feedback! Four in 10 Cincinnatians now claim they are more conscious of their own littering habits as well as the littering of others, according to a post-campaign survey. Click to read more.

Not only will this message reach the Greater Cincinnati area this summer, but for the first time it will be promoted across the country by each Keep America Beautiful affiliate.  If you'd like to get in on the action as a volunteer, participant, or sponsor, please contact Brooke at (513) 352-4385.
