Art Booklet

Boarded HouseIn 2007, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, in partnership with local artists, created a community art booklet featuring many of the art projects KCB had been involved in over the years. Community Art is a workbook containing pictures of various art projects, in-depth instructions of how to complete similar projects in your own neighborhood and lists of important resources.

Topics covered include movable murals, permanent wall murals, decorative trashcans, storefront murals, mosaics, and painted window panels for boarded up buildings.

Community art is a way to bring people together and create something beautiful. The impact can be quite powerful and felt not only by the people directly involved in creating the art, but by the larger community as well. Over time the artwork becomes part of the history of the neighborhood, a landmark, and a testament to what can happen when people work together for a common good.

We created Community Art with the hope it would educate, inspire and help you in the process of bringing community art into your own neighborhood.
