Daffodils & Daylilies
We have planted nearly one million perennials along Cincinnati's highways and major thoroughfares in an effort to prevent litter and welcome visitors as well as investors! We hit a major bump in the road earlier this year when our partnership with the Cincinnati Park Board ended as a result of drastic budget cuts. Now, we are responsible for maintaining these sites in addition to fundraising for the program. A few community and corporate groups have volunteered to "adopt" some of the beds and continue to maintain them on our behalf. Others remain overgrown and in need of weeding, edging, and mulching. With your help, we can fix them up and hopefully attract maintenance partners in the process! Contact Alicia at (513) 352-4386 if you'd like to adopt a Daffodils & Daylilies bed or if you have a group that would like to volunteer at one of our locations. Groups must consist of at least 15 volunteers aged 16 years or older. We can provide tools and supplies.

Corporate Groups
If your office is looking for a unique team building activity, consider working with Keep Cincinnati Beautiful to give back to the community. We have over 30 years of experience working with corporate volunteer groups to enhance vacant lots and abandoned buildings, clean illegal dumpsites, beautify flower beds along our highways, and revitalize neighborhood business districts. We will work with your group to create a dynamic community improvement project tailored to meet your goals and objectives as well as ours. A small donation will be required to cover the cost of materials, coordination, and lunch for volunteers. If you're interested, click here to download the application form, and contact Brooke with any questions at (513) 352-4385.

Youth Groups, Civic Organizations, and Others
Keep Cincinnati Beautiful has developed a new volunteer guide designed to walk you through the process of organizing a community improvement project from start to finish. We will help you with logistics and provide you with tools and supplies when possible, but you will be responsible for designating and coordinating site leaders and volunteers. By the day of your event, you'll be equipped and ready to lead your group in a meaningful cleanup project. To get started, click here.

Schools
A volunteer experience is a great way for students to see that they can "be the change" in their community. We recommend partnering one of our educational classroom presentations with a volunteer project (such as a campus cleanup) to bring the message full circle. Contact Barb at (513) 352-4387 to sign up.

Service Learning
Keep Cincinnati Beautiful is excited about a new opportunity for college students called Growing Green Habits. This program places college students in the role of environmental 'mentor' for elementary students. Young children love learning from "big kids" and this is a unique opportunity for students to serve as role models and teachers. College students who are interested in working with young children and have an interest in environmental education should contact Barb at (513) 352-4387 to sign up. Students will be given the opportunity to teach elementary students a variety of environmental topics including litter prevention, recycling, and beautification. Each student will receive training from KCB staff before entering the classroom.

Great American Cleanup and Make a Difference Day
These are our signature events. The Great American Cleanup takes place each April and is the nation's largest day of community service. Make a Difference Day is its fall counterpart. Join thousands of volunteers to help us clean up the Tri-State!
