Liberty Garden

StatueIn 2002, Keep America Beautiful invited affiliates across the nation to create Liberty Gardens in remembrance of those who lost their lives during the attacks on 9/11. Keep Cincinnati Beautiful set out to create the most stunning Liberty Garden in the United States, and we are well on our way to completing that goal.

SEGWAYNEW! Explore Cincinnati's beautiful and historic gardens on a unique, guided, headset tour!

Garden Description

At the entrance of the Liberty Garden a representation of the seven rays in the Statue of Liberty's crown welcomes you as your journey begins.

Quotes that have helped shape our nation's quest for freedom will be etched into a winding pathway.

Uniquely carved stones along the way will represent the Four Freedoms outlined in Franklin D. Roosevelt's landmark 1941 speech, the message of which is still so very relevant today. Click on the sculpture that you would like to see in detail.

Freedom From Fear
Freedom of Speech
Freedom Of Want
Freedom To Worship

Thirteen Liberty trees have been planted by school children involving them in the process and a "Garden of Remembrance" including a unique sculpture by a local artist has been completed.
