Liberty Garden
In 2002, Keep America Beautiful invited affiliates across the nation to create Liberty Gardens in remembrance of those who lost their lives during the attacks on 9/11. Keep Cincinnati Beautiful set out to create the most stunning Liberty Garden in the United States, and thanks to our generous supporters, we have achieved just that.

Garden Description
At the entrance of the Liberty Garden, a representation of the seven rays in the Statue of Liberty's crown welcome you as your journey begins.
Quotes that have helped shape our nation's quest for freedom are etched into a winding pathway.
Uniquely carved stones along the way represent the Four Freedoms outlined in Franklin D. Roosevelt's landmark 1941 speech, the message of which is still so very relevant today.

Thirteen Liberty trees have been planted by school children, and a "Garden of Remembrance" including a unique sculpture by a local artist has been completed.

DonorsThe Liberty Garden would never have been possible were it not for a generous donation from Keep Cincinnati Board Member Christine Schoonover and her husband George Verkamp in honor of their marriage.
