Sustainability In Action
Our newest program is aimed at helping schools reduce waste, energy, and water consumption
through recycling, composting, and other initiatives identified by Cincinnati
Public Schools (CPS). Six pilot schools will receive a sustainability
coordinator to assist students and faculty with the implementation of “green”
practices throughout the remainder of the school year. This program is made
possible due to support from the City of Cincinnati’s Office of Environmental
Quality, Hamilton County Recycling
& Solid Waste District, and Procter & Gamble. Click

"0 Waste Challenge"
Sunny Delight Beverages Co (SDBC) has partnered with us once again on an exciting new challenge. By the end of the school year, our goal is to reduce three school's waste stream by 25% each. During the six-month "0 Waste Challenge", SDBC is providing a grant that will not only allow each school to continue their recycling efforts through Rumpke, but it will also provide food waste collection, hauling, and off site composting through Future Organics.
